The Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) program at Collège Air Richelieu offers one of the most comprehensive and rigorous aviation training experiences available in Canada. Designed to prepare graduates for the responsibilities of a first officer on commercial aircraft or as a pilot-in-command on aircraft under 12,500 pounds, the program equips students with both the technical proficiency and professional acumen required by leading airlines worldwide. Graduates are prepared to pursue careers in passenger or cargo operations across Quebec, Canada, and internationally.
With a robust curriculum totaling 2,520 hours—1,860 dedicated to specific pilot training and 660 to general training—the program includes 185 hours of flight time, 20 hours in multi-engine aircraft, and 80 hours of simulator training. Additional components such as jet handling, Flight Management System (FMS) transition, and survival training further enhance readiness for complex commercial flight operations. Collège Air Richelieu’s ATPL program develops pilots who are not only technically skilled but also professionally prepared for the dynamic demands of global aviation.
