Take advantage of an extensive range of facilities and resources through the Fine Arts Academic and Research Facilities, the Centre for Digital Arts and the Visual Collections Repository (VCR). Our cutting-edge equipment provides the technical means for you to create media that transcends traditional forms of animation, film, digital video and time-based installation. Montreal also offers opportunities for your productions to thrive given its reputation as an urban centre where traditional cinematic and new media practices flourish.

Since our department is comprised of seven disciplinary programs, you will be in the company of students working in fibres and material practices, intermedia, painting and drawing, photography, print media and sculpture. Regular feedback from artist-researchers in the department contributes to this dynamic learning environment, encouraging you to consider interdisciplinary approaches as you develop your artwork.

The Master of Engineering in Information Systems Security program strikes a good balance between theory and real-world cybersecurity skills, and the instructors bring a lot of industry insight into the classroom. One thing I learned that really stuck with me was how to conduct threat modeling and vulnerability assessments — we actually worked through case studies where I identified risks and recommended mitigation strategies for simulated enterprise systems. That hands-on experience made me feel much more confident going into a security analyst role after graduation. Overall, it’s a program that genuinely prepares you for a career in cybersecurity.

The Construction Engineering and Management (MEng) program at Concordia University was a great experience for me. The courses blended technical engineering skills with real-world project management know-how, which made everything feel relevant to the industry. One highlight was learning how to use building information modeling (BIM) software to create and coordinate detailed project models — it totally changed how I think about planning and collaboration on construction sites. Overall, the program gave me practical tools and confidence to step into a construction management role.
