The Data Engineering Bootcamp is an intensive program designed to help technical professionals build the skills needed to design and manage modern data infrastructure. Ideal for advanced data analysts, data scientists, software engineers, and technically minded professionals, the program focuses on building scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data systems.
Through a hands-on, project-based curriculum, students learn how to collect, transform, store, and process large datasets using modern data engineering tools. Participants work with technologies such as Python, SQL, Docker, Airflow, dbt, and cloud data warehouses to build reliable data workflows and production-ready data platforms.
The program is offered in a hybrid format at Le Wagon’s Montréal campus or online, in a part-time format. By the end of the bootcamp, graduates will have developed practical projects demonstrating their ability to build and manage end-to-end data infrastructure.
What You’ll Learn
- Build and orchestrate data pipelines using Python, SQL, and Apache Airflow.
- Transform and model data using modern ELT workflows with dbt.
- Work with cloud data warehouses such as Google BigQuery.
- Containerize and deploy data workflows using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Process and manage large datasets using distributed data tools.
- Design and implement scalable data infrastructure projects using Terraform.

FAQ
Can I join without a technical background?
AI Software & Data Analytics bootcamps: Yes! No technical background is required. Le Wagon admission team will look for motivation, curiosity, and teamwork. If that sounds like you, they’ll teach you the rest. Data Science & AI bootcamp: A foundational level of programming and math is required. You should know variables, loops, functions, and basic data structures, as well as math concepts like derivatives and linear equations. A preparatory work is provided before the bootcamp to help you get ready.
What language is the bootcamp taught in?
All bootcamps in Canada are taught in English. Le Wagon also offers the AI Software bootcamp in French.
What career support do you offer?
Career support starts at the beginning of the bootcamp and continues for life. It includes: a self-paced career program, help with CVs, LinkedIn, and interviews, 1:1 coaching, Networking events with hiring partners, and access to a global alumni network and job board.
What is Data Science / Data Analytics / AI Software, really?
Data Science: Analyzing large datasets using code, math, and ML to drive decisions and build intelligent models. Data Analytics: Interpreting and visualizing data to extract insights using tools like SQL, Python, and BI dashboards. AI Software: Building intelligent applications that integrate AI models, using full-stack development and modern AI tools.
With AI evolving, is it still worth learning to code or analyze data?
Yes, more than ever! AI can assist, but not replace, developers and analysts. Understanding code and data makes you more adaptable, valuable, and future-proof in a tech-driven world.
Do I need a laptop?
Yes. You’ll need your own laptop: For the AI Software & Data Science bootcamp: macOS or Linux. If using Windows, we’ll help you install Linux on Day 1. For the Data Analytics bootcamp, any recent laptop, Mac or Windows, is good.
What is the format of the bootcamp?
Le Wagon Canada offers full-time and part-time formats, allowing everyone to fit the bootcamp around their schedule. All bootcamps are offered in a hybrid format. Join in person on campus or live online. The course content and exercises are accessible at all times through our online learning platform. The live online sessions take place on a virtual campus, a 2D online space recreating our physical campus
