The Civil Engineering program at McGill builds a broad scientific and analytical basis for students to journey through solid, fluid, and soil mechanics, as well as resource management.
Early in the program, students will practice both theory and applied problems, and work to solve the issues that face society. In both required and complementary courses, learners will apply fundamental concepts taught early on to build upon their understanding of engineering.
In later years, learners will focus their areas of study into one of environmental, geotechnical, water resources, structural or transportation. Alternatively, students can opt to develop their own interests in a less traditional manner by adding complementary courses from other departments.
Admission Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Grade 12 Math, Physics, and Chemistry.
What You’ll Learn
- Sustainability in engineering practices.
- Core engineering principles in fluid dynamics, soil mechanics, and structural analysis.
