This hands-on program prepares students for a dynamic career supporting youth and adults in conflict with the law or experiencing crisis. Learners build foundational knowledge in criminology, criminal law, victimology, and human behaviour, while developing practical skills through workshops in conflict resolution, mental health first aid, hostage negotiation, and crisis intervention.
An integrated field placement and industry tours offer valuable real-world experience. Graduates are equipped to pursue roles in youth justice, adult corrections, restorative justice, and law enforcement. Career paths include youth worker, crisis intervention officer, correctional officer, program facilitator, and more.
Admission Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Grade 12 English.
