Business Intelligence Systems Infrastructure

Algonquin College’s one-year Business Intelligence Systems Infrastructure (BISI) Ontario College Graduate Certificate program equips students with the specialized technical skills needed to launch a career in business intelligence and data-driven decision-making. Designed for individuals with a background in computing, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, the program provides a strong foundation in data engineering, database querying, data modeling, machine learning, and cloud computing. Students gain hands-on experience using current enterprise-grade tools and technologies to design and implement systems that support data analysis and business insights.

Throughout the program, learners develop both technical and professional competencies, including agile project management and collaborative teamwork. A culminating capstone project allows students to apply their skills in a real-world context, addressing client needs and delivering practical business intelligence solutions. With a curriculum that balances foundational knowledge and emerging technologies, the BISI program prepares graduates to become effective contributors in data-centric roles across a wide range of industries.

Admission Requirements

• Ontario College Diploma, Ontario College Advanced Diploma, Degree or equivalent in the related technical field such as a technical areas of business, information systems, computer science or engineering including, but not limited to courses showing technical skills in programming, database, math, statistics or operations research.
