Familiarize yourself with the complex equipment used by paramedics, assessment and emergency response techniques, cardiac monitoring and defibrillation, and the administration of medications and intravenous fluids. Acquire knowledge in general and specialized pre-hospital care, and learn to work with advanced care paramedics. Intermediate English proficiency level is highly recommended.
During the first year, the student acquires the basic techniques and the fundamental notions of pre-hospital care. In the 3rd stage, he looks more specifically at specialized pre-hospital care and completes internship hours in hospitals and in the paramedical services of the region. Finally, the last step is dedicated to the ambulance clinical internships. The student is paired with a preceptor, and under his supervision, becomes responsible for all primary level patient care.
Although the training is offered in French, bilingual capacity (French and English) is an asset due to certain scientific texts used in the classroom. In addition, a large number of practical internships are available in an English-speaking environment.

There's literally openly racist professor that have been around for years in this college, and even with all the complaints that students file against them, the school doesn't do anything to change it, it's really a shame that no one is doing anything ...
I had an excellent experience at La Cité during my two study programs. There are several services offered to help students during their studies. It is more than an educational institution, it is also a place to grow and create memories.
