Saba University School of Medicine (SUSOM) offers a curriculum designed by U.S.-trained faculty, providing a solid foundation for success in clinical care and beyond. Aligned with leading U.S. medical schools, the MD program spans ten semesters, integrating focused academic and clinical studies in both Basic Science and Clinical Medicine. Upon completion of the program, students are fully prepared to pursue careers as practicing physicians and healthcare leaders in the U.S., Canada, and internationally.
The Basic Science curriculum is delivered during the first half of the MD program. Over the course of five semesters on the Saba campus (two years), students develop a comprehensive understanding of human health and disease, which is crucial for building a successful medical career.
The Clinical Medicine curriculum consists of an 8-week research module followed by 72 weeks of clinical rotations. During this phase, students begin diagnosing and treating real patients under expert supervision at teaching hospitals, clinics, and medical centers in the U.S. and Canada.

Student Reviews (4)
I was the first graduate of Saba University School of Medicine (SUSOM). I did clinical rotations at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. I then completed a 3-year Residency in Family Practice at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Good medical program that could be more upfront, communicative and supportive to students
