Today’s successful photographers go beyond just mastering their cameras; they are equipped to design, edit, market, connect, and sell. At Lambton College, students prepare for this dynamic and expanding career using modern digital photographic equipment in a cutting-edge photography studio.

Photography students are encouraged to pursue their passions while exploring diverse interests, all while honing the technical skills needed for creative expression. The curriculum encompasses a wide range of topics, including design and composition, digital darkroom techniques, lighting and camera skills, and portfolio development. Students have the chance to collaborate with peers as they capture events both on and off campus, and a photography field study in New York City during the second year challenges them to broaden their perspectives.

At the heart of the Photography program is a state-of-the-art photography and video studio, equipped with strobe, video, and continuous lighting kits. Students utilize this space, both individually and in small groups, working with professional-quality equipment available through our loan department.
