The USask College of Medicine undergraduate medical doctor (MD) program prepares medical students to become the best health professionals. The undergraduate MD program offers the best training for future physicians through experiences in urban, rural, remote and Indigenous communities, early hands-on opportunities for medical learning, one-to-one mentorships, state-of-the-art clinical, and research facilities. The MD program is designed to ensure that participants graduate with a common foundation of knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes. This general professional education prepares graduates for subsequent education in primary or specialty care areas.
The undergraduate medical education program in the College of Medicine is a four-year program leading to the Medical Doctor (MD) degree. Upon earning the MD degree, students are then eligible to apply for postgraduate training in the discipline of their choice.
Admission Requirements
- Canadian citizen or have Permanent Resident status.
- Four-year bachelor’s degree.
- Medical College Admission Test (MCAT).
- Computer-based Assessment for Sampling Personal Characteristics (CASPer).
