Students enrolled in Confederation College’s Medical Radiation Technology Advanced Diploma program learn the skills to become a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT). Students learn x-ray and CT equipment operation, proper radiation safety, patient management, human anatomy, and pathology, while using critical thinking skills to properly position patients and evaluate image quality, all in a professional environment.
Graduates of the program will have learned how to produce and assess a variety of high-quality diagnostic images employing current technologies for image acquisition and processing. They will interpret requests and adapt procedures relative to patient and diagnostic image requirements in routine and complex clinical cases.
