Sonography is a stimulating profession in constant evolution. Medical sonographers use devices that produce and record images of various parts of the body in order to help doctors monitor pregnancies and diagnose health problems. There is currently a shortage of sonography technicians in the field.

The Ultrasonography program prepares the student to perform the tasks relating to ultrasound examinations in an autonomous and professional manner. The sonographer produces images of the human body in accordance with the clinical information gathered, and transmits the precise sonographic data to the radiologist. The program prepares participants to sit for the registered examinations of the Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals as soon as they have obtained their diploma. Graduates of this program can specialize in ultrasonography as well as in cardiac, cerebral, musculoskeletal and peripheral vascular sonography.

It is essential to be able to communicate orally and in writing in both French and English during clinical internships.

This program is currently offered at the Sudbury campus.

Admission Requirements

  • Previous training in one of these areas: medical imaging technology, radiation oncology, nuclear medicine, nursing, echocardiography or vascular sonography, sciences (bachelor’s degree).

What You’ll Learn

  • Understand ultrasound mechanisms, device handling, and artifact recognition, while following the ALARA principle.
  • Perform abdominal, gynecological, and surface structure ultrasounds, analyzing normal and abnormal conditions.
  • Interpret Doppler signals and ultrasound display modes for accurate vascular and abdominal diagnostics.
  • Master scanning techniques for complex structures like the reproductive system, musculoskeletal system, and newborn brain.

This driving program was a great place to learn truck driving professionally. If you are a beginner and know nothing about driving, its skills, and its rules you will learn it all in this program. Their well-experienced trainers are very supportive and patient in teaching and also they are supportive for slow learners or beginners. I will give 5 stars to their training and training methods.
