Children’s media plays a vital role in the Canadian entertainment industry, and with its rapid growth, the demand for skilled professionals continues to rise. Centennial College offers a unique program that equips students with the skills needed to succeed in this field. The Children’s Media program provides hands-on experience and prepares students for a range of career opportunities in the industry.

In just three semesters, students gain the skills to create content, manage and market media products, and master storytelling techniques through scriptwriting. Video production and project coordination become second nature after the first two semesters. In the final semester, students apply their skills during a work-placement, allowing them to explore different areas of children’s media, from licensing and merchandising to writing.

Admission Requirements

  • Degree or three-year College Diploma in any discipline.
  • English Language proficiency.

What You’ll Learn

  • Develop, design, and present multi-platform projects in Children’s Entertainment.

As a current student in Centennial College’s Early Childhood Education program, I’m loving the experience so far! The curriculum is really well-rounded, covering everything from child development to creating inclusive learning environments. The best part is the hands-on experience—we get to work with kids through placements, which is amazing for applying what we learn in class.
