Centennial College’s Mobile Applications Development graduate certificate program prepares students with the practical skills and technical knowledge needed to succeed in the fast-growing mobile technology industry. The program focuses on building native applications for Android and iOS as well as cross-platform solutions using modern development frameworks. With the growing demand for developers who can integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) into mobile platforms, the curriculum is designed to help students create scalable, high-performance applications that work seamlessly across devices.
Students gain hands-on experience with tools such as Xcode, Android Studio, and Visual Studio Code while learning programming languages including Swift, Kotlin, JavaScript, and Python. The program also covers AI-assisted development with tools like Gemini and GitHub Copilot, modern software engineering practices, UI/UX design using Figma, and cloud technologies such as Google Cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes. The program concludes with a capstone project where students design and develop a fully functional mobile application, building a professional portfolio piece that demonstrates their skills to potential employers.
