The faculty members of the Practical Nursing program possess extensive expertise in both clinical practice and classroom teaching. Classroom instruction is enhanced by independent study, multimedia resources, and continuous clinical experience. Several courses within the program are offered in a blended format, combining classroom and online learning. Clinical and laboratory instruction takes place in small groups, utilizing cutting-edge technology, such as computerized simulations. The nursing lab at the School of Community and Health Studies is designed to replicate a real hospital environment, complete with nursing stations and operating room facilities.

Students gain a competitive advantage by working in advanced clinical simulation settings, interacting with highly realistic computerized “patients.” The program offers immersive experiences in various healthcare settings, including acute care, rehabilitation, and long-term care agencies, in collaboration with industry-leading healthcare providers.

Admission Requirements

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent.

As a current student in Centennial College’s Early Childhood Education program, I’m loving the experience so far! The curriculum is really well-rounded, covering everything from child development to creating inclusive learning environments. The best part is the hands-on experience—we get to work with kids through placements, which is amazing for applying what we learn in class.
