Occupational Health and Safety Leadership

The Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Leadership program is designed for those who have already completed Toronto Metropolitan University’s School of Continuing Studies previous OHS programs, and are already mid-career. Learners who want to move themselves into senior roles that will make a lasting impact in the workplace will dive into safety leadership, ethics, disability management, and project management fundamentals – while learning from industry experts.

When combined with TMU’s Certificates in Occupational Health and Safety and Advanced Safety Management, graduates of the three programs will meet the educational requirements to write the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) exam and become a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).

Since this is an entirely online program, students can learn at their own pace to best balance their work and educational responsibilities.

Admission Requirements

• Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent, is recommended.

• The role of the OHS professional as a leader who influences the safety culture of an organization.
