This introductory course provides learners with the foundational knowledge needed to prepare Canadian Income Tax Returns (T1). Participants explore key elements of the personal tax system, including sources of income, deductions, tax credits, and the calculation of taxes owed or refunded. Through practical instruction, the course helps learners understand how individual tax returns are structured and completed in accordance with Canadian tax regulations.
Upon successful completion, learners will have the skills required to prepare personal tax returns with confidence. The course prepares individuals for entry-level roles as tax preparers with income tax specialty firms, while also equipping them with the knowledge to accurately prepare their own personal tax returns.
