System Administrator

Eastern College’s System Administrator program provides a hands-on, project-based learning experience designed to prepare students for high-demand careers in IT. Over the course of the program, students gain practical skills in desktop, server, and network administration while learning to leverage online resources and AI tools to improve efficiency. Small class sizes ensure personalized guidance from expert instructors, creating an engaging environment that supports skill development.

The program covers a broad range of technical areas, including PC Support, Windows 10 Administration, Linux Administration, and Security Fundamentals, while also emphasizing computer security, automation, and effective troubleshooting and communication skills. Students work toward industry-recognized certifications that enhance professional credentials and prepare them for the evolving IT landscape. Preparatory courses help students succeed academically and professionally, culminating in an internship that provides invaluable hands-on experience and positions graduates for rewarding careers as skilled system administrators.

An 8-week internship option offers real-world experience, allowing students to apply their knowledge in professional settings and graduate job-ready.

Admission Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent or meets criteria for Mature Student Status.
