George Brown’s one-year Construction Techniques certificate program provides choices when considering a career in the Skilled Trades sector. Students will be introduced to a variety of trades so students can determine which specialty interests them the most.
Students will learn popular construction trade areas including Electrical, Millwrighting, Sheet Metal, Air Conditioning, Carpentry, Welding, Steam fitting, and Plumbing. Through practical projects combined with theory, students gain confidence and experience in each trade. This will provide the information needed to make an informed decision about a future career, while also giving students a solid understanding of the construction process.
