Humber offers a specialized bridging program for internationally trained IT professionals with education and experience in computer programming and software development. This program is designed to provide participants with the advanced concepts, skills, and knowledge required to work as Software Developers. Not only will you acquire and develop technical skills, but also communication and interpersonal skills being sought after by employers in this field.
You will be supported on your journey to employment by a sector specific employment advisor as well as a job developer to ensure that you develop your soft skills and build your employer connections so that you are well positioned to secure employment in the software development tech space upon graduation.
With this program you’ll get technical hands on learning with the latest technologies in the IT industry, industry inspired curriculum taught by industry professionals, sector specific employment advisor to assist in career planning, job search and preparation and sector specific job developer providing opportunities to connect with employers.
Humber .NET Bridging program students will gain a ‘real-world’ development experience to help them achieve their goals of becoming employed productive members of the Canadian technical community. For this reason, the faculty team at Humber has developed and aligned course materials to create a single project that, upon finishing, students can demonstrate to potential employers.

Admission Requirements
This program is open to internationally trained professionals who:
- Are residents of Ontario.
- Are Permanent Residents, Refugee Claimants, Convention Refugees or Canadian Citizens.
- Are currently unemployed or underemployed.
- Have educational qualifications outside of Canada with a minimum Canadian equivalency to a Canadian degree/diploma in information technology, computer programming, software development or related.
- Have previous work experience outside of Canada in the information technology, computer programming, software development or related fields.
- Have a current Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment score at a minimum Level 7/8 (Consider OSLT if you do not meet this requirement).
