This one-year Ontario Graduate Certificate is delivered in a dynamic, collaborative format that mirrors real agency life, giving students an immersive introduction to the fast-paced world of advertising. Based at the Humber Downtown campus, the program spans two intensive semesters followed by a field experience, during which students partner with peers in the Art Direction program to build strategic, conceptual and practical skills grounded in real-world expectations.

Students gain a comprehensive understanding of copywriting, art direction, marketing, branding and creative strategy while developing campaigns across emerging and traditional media. Through courses such as Copywriting 101, Art Direction 101, Advertising Studio, Writing for Digital Media, Creative Strategy, Persuasive Copywriting and Intensive Portfolio Development, learners build a professional portfolio (adartcopy.com) that meets industry standards for field placement and entry-level roles. With hands-on, in-class learning, live client and agency projects, industry guest speakers and agency tours, Humber’s Advertising Copywriting program is widely recognized as a transformational experience that prepares graduates to enter the advertising industry with confidence and a competitive creative edge.
