Humber Polytechnic’s Practical Nursing program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for a rewarding career as a registered practical nurse (RPN) in Ontario. Graduates are prepared to write the practical nursing registration exam and pursue positions in hospitals, long-term care, and community health settings. The program combines a comprehensive curriculum with hands-on learning, including state-of-the-art bioscience and anatomy labs, advanced simulation labs, and access to Humber’s unique on-campus cadaver lab, giving students a distinctive advantage in their education.

Students gain approximately 1,000 hours of supervised professional practicum experience across diverse healthcare settings throughout the program. These placements, guided by Humber’s clinical experts, include long-term care, rehabilitation, acute-care, schools, and community agencies. From initial simulation labs to a final preceptored practicum working alongside an experienced RPN, students have the opportunity to apply their nursing knowledge and skills in real-world environments while developing confidence, clinical competence, and professional readiness for their careers.

I recently took the Introduction to Artificial Intelligence for Digital Marketers and Communications program at Humber Polytechnic and found it really practical and easy to follow. It breaks down AI concepts in a way that actually makes sense for marketers, without getting overly technical.

I liked that we focused on real-world tools and use cases — from content creation to analytics — and how to apply AI strategically rather than just chasing trends. It’s a great starting point for anyone in marketing or communications who wants to understand how AI can fit into their day-to-day work.
