Individuals considering a career in the mortgage industry must complete the Ontario Mortgage Agent Level 1 Course. This comprehensive licensing program adheres to the Accreditation Standards, as well as the competencies and curriculum for mortgage agents set out by the Mortgage Broker Regulator’s Council of Canada (MBRCC). This course is crafted with the input of education specialists and industry professionals to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the high standards of practice in the field.
This course is designed according to key competencies and curriculum established by the Mortgage Broker Regulator’s Council of Canada (MBRCC), which represents governments and other self-regulatory organizations that are responsible for administering mortgage brokerage legislation. By the end of this course, learners will have the knowledge to successfully pass the Agent licensing exam and the skills to broker a mortgage with assistance. This is a competency-based program focused on building the skills rather than simply the knowledge you will need to successfully provide mortgage brokerage services in Ontario.

The online course takes roughly 40 hours to complete. Students must ensure to finish their studies within six months of registering.
