Students learn to produce high-quality, professional photographs using their own digital SLR camera in this course designed for aspiring photographers. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of digital SLR cameras, the basics of digital image files, and image processing in Adobe Photoshop.
Note that students are responsible for printing costs, and for online courses, access to Adobe CC Photoshop is required to complete assignments. Students must purchase their own software, as there are currently no discounts available for Continuing Studies students, although trial versions may be accessible on the company’s website.
Students must have access to a digital SLR or mirrorless camera.

- Explain the anatomy of digital cameras and lenses.
- Apply various shutter speeds, apertures, and ISO settings.
- Compose images using autofocus effectively.
- Utilize form, geometry, and basic composition theory thoughtfully.

The instructors in industrial design, from CNC to woodworking, are not adequatley trained. Former students get hired as lead technicians who can't service machines and this is what you get. I would have chosen Humber or Centennial if I could go back.
