In this Firefighter Training program, students will train in a fully equipped burn house and rescue tower, gaining hands-on experience in real-life firefighting scenarios. Accommodations are available in a firehouse-style setting, fostering a true station environment. Dormitories feature shared facilities, including a kitchen, bathroom, and common space, promoting teamwork and camaraderie.
Additionally, those who enrol will be responsible for managing and maintaining all station duties, mirroring the expectations of a professional fire hall. These tasks will instil discipline, accountability, and the skills required for a career in the fire service, and will train under the guidance of professional instructors from both Municipal Fire Services and Volunteer Departments. This direct mentorship provides invaluable industry insight and real-world firefighting expertise.
Admission Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Completed medical form.
- Standard First Aid with level C CPR.
