Honours Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering)

Sheridan College offers a Honours Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering at its Brampton campus. This program is the first Ontario program of its kind to receive accreditation from the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board, ensuring graduates are qualified for licensure as professional engineers in Canada.

Half of the learners’ class time will be spent in labs, getting hands on experience and practical skills. In upper years of the electrical engineering program, students can specialize in energy or mechatronics.

Sheridan students will also participate in a mandatory four month internship, along with the option to complete a second co-op work term of up to 16 months in third year. These experiences, along with other projects with students in other disciplines, ensure graduates are ready to work as soon as they leave school.

Admission Requirements

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
• Grade 12 English, Physics or Chemistry, Math, Advanced Functions, and Calculus and Vectors.
• Two additional Grade 12 U or M courses.
• Minimum average of 70 percent.
