2D Animation & Visual Development

I’ve been studying in the Bachelor of Motion Picture Arts program at Capilano University for the past two years, and overall, it’s been an amazing experience. The program offers a deep dive into both the creative and technical aspects of filmmaking. From scriptwriting to cinematography and post-production, you get a well-rounded education that prepares you for the industry.

One of the best parts of this program is the hands-on approach. You get to work on multiple film projects, both individually and as part of a team, which really helps develop your skills and build a portfolio. The equipment and facilities are top-notch, and you’ll have access to industry-standard gear like high-end cameras and editing software. Plus, the small class sizes allow for a lot of personalized attention from professors, many of whom have years of experience working in the film industry.

As a Design in Visual Communication student, Capilano University has been a dream. The faculty are passionate about creativity and have a wealth of experience in the industry. There’s a real sense of community within the program, and the workshops are invaluable for developing your craft. I've had the chance to attend events and connect with local professionals, which has really expanded my network.
