The Gustavson School of Business Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in business while allowing flexibility to explore a wide range of academic and personal interests. Through a balanced curriculum that combines foundational business courses, electives, and collaborative learning experiences, students develop practical knowledge in areas such as marketing, accounting, business analytics, law, ethics, and organizational management. The program encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork, helping students build the confidence and skills needed for a successful business career.
As students progress through the program, they gain valuable real-world experience through required work terms, optional co-op placements, mentorship opportunities, and international exchange programs. The cohort-based learning model fosters collaboration and professional networking, while upper-level electives and specialization options allow students to tailor their degree to their career goals. In their final years, students have opportunities to participate in advanced experiential programs such as the Applied Portfolio Management Program, further strengthening their industry knowledge and practical expertise. Upon graduation, students are well prepared to pursue careers across a wide range of business fields or continue their education at the graduate level.
