Hairstyling

Students in Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology (MITT)’s Hairstyling program will sharpen their skills and techniques as a stylist under the guidance of industry veteran instructors and learn the ins-and-outs of the workplace—customer service, client booking, effective product sales—in our full-service salon learning environment.

Women and men’s haircuts, barbering, colour and chemical texture services—these are the skills employers demand of Hairstyling graduates and they are the ones students will explore in detail in this program. Apprenticeship Manitoba Level 1 accreditation means students who successfully complete the program and accreditation requirements receive credit toward their apprenticeship path. Student’s participation in MITT’s Bridging to Work workshops ensures graduates enter the workforce with a strong foundation in the employability and essential skills employers demand.
