Through the University of Manitoba’s Logistics and Supply Chain Management (BCom) (Honours) program, students will be studying at a world-class business school, in a city that is a hub for transportation and logistics in Canada. Supply chain management is an integrated management of the flow of products, services, and information from suppliers, through operations to the final customer.
Students who study supply chain management and logistics at the University of Manitoba will be taught by excellent professors – many of whom have won prestigious teaching awards. These professors are also active researchers, who have written textbooks, received national research grants, and had their articles published in top journals. Students will have a chance to explore different career paths, professions, industries, companies, and majors and build a professional network to kick-start their careers.
The Logistics and Supply Chain Management major examines issues such as developing trust and long-term partnerships, making trade-offs for the benefit of the entire supply chain, meeting end-customer requirements, determining the best combinations of transportation modes, and strategic outsourcing and procurement.
