Students in the University of Alberta’s Bachelor of Science in Fashion Business Management program will be prepared for a career in the increasingly business-oriented and globalized fashion industry. In this program jointly offered with the Alberta School of Business, students will gain an advanced understanding of the analytical, marketing and management tools, leadership skills and ethical values required of business professionals working in fashion industries. Students will meet fashion industry stakeholders and increase their understanding of the theoretical and practical processes involved in the design, production, distribution and consumption of textiles and clothing. For those who see themself entering the world of fashion and want to prepare for a management career or develop the skills to start their own business, the Fashion Business Management degree can help to achieve those goals.

Students in the Fashion Business Management program are eligible to participate in the Alberta School of Business Co-op Program. They will combine classroom learning with on-the-job training through a 12-month paid work experience that allows learners to act on their passion and develop a professional network. Leverage resources right on campus like the Anne Lambert Clothing and Textiles Collection, a unique collection that houses more than 23,000 clothing and textile-related artifacts with local, national and international significance. Jumpstart a career before graduating by tackling real-world projects and issues faced by industry, government and environmental organizations.

As a working educator, I appreciated the flexibility and relevance of the University of Alberta's Master of Education program. The curriculum balanced theory and practice, allowing me to immediately apply what I learned in my classroom and school community. The collaborative environment fostered meaningful discussions with peers from diverse backgrounds, and those connections became one of the most valuable parts of my experience.
