Bachelor of Community Mental Health and Wellness (Honours) (International Students) only accepts applications from International Students.
The Community Mental Health and Wellness program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary for a successful career in the expanding field of mental health and wellness, which increasingly extends beyond traditional clinical environments. Ideal for those interested in prevention, promotion, and intervention, the program emphasizes an equity-informed framework and incorporates diverse perspectives to support the well-being of individuals and communities.
Students learn to design evidence-informed services and programs that contribute to personal and community wellness. Alongside theoretical instruction, the program offers extensive practical learning through real-world experiences, including simulated practice scenarios with standardized patients, case studies, community field placements, and a paid co-op work term.
Graduates emerge with strong critical thinking, research, and professional communication skills, positioning them to positively impact mental health and wellness at the community level. Career opportunities include roles in workplace wellness, mental health support, community outreach, systems navigation, and program development across sectors such as social services, education, government, and corporate environments.
Admission Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, OR 19 years of age or older.
- For students with transcripts from outside of Canada, a comprehensive course-by-course credential evaluation is required.
