The Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University’s Bachelor of Health Administration (BHA) is a flexible, part-time degree completion program designed for working professionals and adult learners looking to advance their healthcare careers. The program allows students to build on a previous diploma while developing knowledge in healthcare management, health informatics, law, epidemiology, statistics, accounting, healthcare information analysis, and financial management.
Students also explore human resources, ethics, health economics, research methodology, and program planning and evaluation. The program includes preparation for and completion of a practicum, providing hands-on experience in a healthcare setting and an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world management challenges. With 22 courses spanning core requirements, liberal studies, and electives, the degree supports students in completing their undergraduate education while balancing other commitments.
Admission Requirements
- Two-year Diploma program (e.g. health information management, practical nursing, nutrition, food services management, dental hygiene and office administration – health services) or three-year Advanced Diploma program in applied health sciences (e.g. nursing, medical laboratory technology, chiropody, radiology).
- At least two years of cumulative, current professional experience in the health services field.

Their in-person curriculum is administered reasonably well.
The online courses are not great due to limited opportunity for feedback, correction, etc. They also don't feel terribly well structured.
Great school, great programs, great location. Doesn't get better than this.
