Knowing how to initiate, lead, and manage successful change initiatives is vital to organizations and key to being a successful manager. You must act quickly, manage anxiety and resistance, share decision-making, and communicate with transparency, all while leading others.
Through a set of three three-day workshops, you will examine the key concepts and unique skills required in the role of the change agent, both as a leader and as a participant.
This series is designed for professionals in entry to mid-level management who are change agents within their organizations. Students may come from a wide range of employment sectors, including private, governmental, and educational organizations.

I am a graduate student at the University of Alberta.
It is a very vibrant student life, with plenty of club-run events happening on campus throughout the year.
Moving from another province, I found a strong sense of community within the UofA student body, particularly with other graduate students.
The campus is beautiful and has a lot of trees and green space.

I graduated from uofa with an economics degree and then worked for my my family's manufacturing business. After 3 and a half years, I knew I needed help taking the company to the next level but I needed to keep working. The online MBA was the perfect solution.
After 36 months of studying part-time, I can say my business skills are beyond where I thought they would be. What I learned about leadership and operations I use every single day. I was surprised that I was also able to network and build relationships with my group even though I had the flexibility to choose a lot of my own courses as I went.
The other reason I choose the program is because of the flexible start dates. I kept putting this decision off, so when I was finally ready, I didn't have to wait another few semester to get going.
