The University of Fredericton’s fully online Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program is designed for advanced career professionals who aspire to lead their organization towards superior performance. The program will enhance the learner’s capacity to contribute strategically while solidifying their understanding of management principles. Participants will further boost their ability for critical thinking while collaborating and networking with professionals at their level across Canada and around the world.
The EMBA is a flexible program that has been developed for working professionals. UFred ensures students are able to balance their studies with their careers and other personal and professional commitments. With the ability to pause their studies at any time, UFred ensures students can take a break in their program as required.
Each course in the EMBA program requires the attendance of one virtual class (vClass) a week. vClasses take place in the evening between Monday and Thursday, at the earliest 6:00 p.m. EST, and typically last 1-2 hours.
The curriculum kicks off with a series of foundational courses, each spanning 7 weeks, that cover essential expert insights from economics, organizational strategy, and leadership theory.
After the foundational courses are completed, then learners begin with chosen specialty stream courses. These courses involve intense group work assignments, where they will get a chance to learn from their peers and their vast professional experience, as well as from the instructors. Available specialty stream options within the EMBA program include Global Leadership, Innovation Leadership, Consulting Leadership, Human Resources Leadership,
Business Analytics Leadership, Health & Safety Leadership, Professional Selling Leadership, Social Enterprise Leadership, and Artificial Intelligence Leadership.
Finish off the program by collaborating on a capstone project, by integrating and applying the knowledge, skills, and critical insights learned throughout the EMBA studies.

My experience with the Executive MBA program at the University of Fredericton has been nothing short of exceptional. From the outset, the program promised a blend of rigorous academic curriculum and practical, real-world application, and it delivered beyond my expectations.
One of the most remarkable aspects of this program was the caliber of the professors. They were not just academically distinguished but also genuinely engaged and passionate about teaching and mentoring. Their approach was always grounded in real-world experiences, making the learning process incredibly relevant and enriching. They were accessible and supportive, fostering an environment where curiosity was encouraged, and learning was a shared journey.
Flexibility is another cornerstone of the EMBA program at Fredericton. As a professional striving to balance work, life, and education, the program's structure was a perfect fit. It offered the right blend of online coursework and in-person sessions, allowing me to manage my studies without compromising on my professional or personal commitments. This flexibility ensured that pursuing my EMBA was a challenging yet thoroughly enjoyable experience.
However, the highlight of my EMBA journey was undoubtedly the International Field Study in Amsterdam. This 11-day excursion was not just an academic trip but a profound learning and cultural immersion experience. It allowed me to apply the concepts learned in the classroom in an international context, understand different business practices, and network with professionals and peers from diverse backgrounds. This field study broadened my perspective, enhanced my global business understanding, and was a testament to the program's commitment to providing students with a holistic and global education.
In conclusion, my EMBA from the University of Fredericton has been a transformative educational endeavor. The program has equipped me with invaluable insights, skills, and experiences, propelling my professional growth and expanding my global outlook. For anyone looking to elevate their career with a flexible, engaging, and comprehensive EMBA program, I cannot recommend the University of Fredericton enough. It's an investment in yourself that pays dividends far beyond the classroom.
