Gain the scientific foundation and critical thinking skills that will provide insight into how people perceive the world and interact with others. Discover how social, cognitive, and biological factors affect and are affected by the development of typical and atypical behaviour from conception to infancy through old age.

The Mount Royal BA in Psychology is designed to provide students with a broad base of knowledge in the key areas of the discipline by requiring courses in six core areas. It will also provide an understanding of research processes, the scientific method, and statistical analysis through specific courses in these areas as well as in senior courses that cover this material as it relates to specific topics.

Students will also have the opportunity to choose from courses that will enable them to focus on a particular area within the Psychology discipline. The knowledge, skills, and abilities acquired in the BA program can lead students to a variety of career opportunities or to further study in Psychology and related fields.

MRU does not support students especially the Nursing instructors. They specialize in making like hard for students, passively racist and ride on old glory.

As a second year nursing student at MRU, I can say confidently that this had been both a challenging but incredibly rewarding learning experience so far! With the small class sizes, I’ve been able to talk with many professors who genuinely care about student well-being and will go above and beyond to make sure you are equipped for success. Not to mention the great opportunities to apply learning hands-on in both the lab and clinical settings starting as early as year one. I have felt both challenged and supported through my nursing education so far, and am so excited to continue! MRU is the place to be if your dream is to become a nurse.
