The Conestoga Bachelor of Engineering – Cyber Systems Engineering program is built on the newly identified Communication Infrastructure Engineering (CIE) discipline. CIE is defined by the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) Council at a high level as the systems-level architecture, design, and management of trusted networks for mission-critical and safety-critical applications, including those that support other critical infrastructures.
For students who are interested in combining elements of the more traditional disciplines of Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Software Engineering to achieve Cybersecurity from an Engineering rather than an Information Technology perspective, this program is the right choice. This Bachelor of Engineering – Cyber Systems Engineering program focuses on real-time systems, communications, networks, and risk management.
What You’ll Learn
- Use advanced concepts of university-level mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering principles to solve engineering problems related to secure communication systems.
- Identify, formulate, analyze, and solve complex engineering problems.
- Conduct risk and threat analyses for communications and computing systems.
- Investigate communications infrastructure-specific problems using practical experimentation, simulations, engineering analysis, and information synthesis to reach valid conclusions.
- Evaluate, verify, and validate communication and computing systems to ensure risk is appropriately managed.
- Integrate advanced engineering, communications, and cybersecurity concepts into the development and operation of critical infrastructures.
- Apply privacy and security by design principles while considering health and safety risks, applicable standards, and economic, environmental, cultural, and societal aspects, in order to meet stakeholder requirements.

Student Reviews (32)
You’re actually rating Ontario colleges based on 35 reviews or less? This is ridiculous and pathetic. How does your silly list look now with Conestoga at the top? It looks as pathetic as it is.
This program has been very poorly administered from a scheduling standpoint.
The course is divided into 5 levels with scheduled breaks between each level. When Levels 3 and 4 became available, I registered and arranged my vacation time with work...
