Prior to rescue, students need to learn the right techniques. Every firefighter begins somewhere, and the Firefighter I & II program is often the first step toward a career in fire services.
The Blended Firefighter I & II Program at the Canadian Fire Rescue College offers a modern, flexible approach to training. Instead of sitting through long classroom lectures, students complete the theory portion online. Once the online component is finished, students head to Red Deer County for immersive, in-person training, where they put their knowledge into action. They also have the unique opportunity to train alongside a local Fire Department, gaining invaluable real-world experience while completing their formal education.
Dates listed are for the practical component of the program.
