When you’re ready to step into the world of emergency response, Lakeland’s Emergency Services Technology (EST) program is a great launchpad. This one-of-a-kind, full-time diploma blends firefighting and pre-hospital care, making it the only program of its kind in Canada.
Your journey begins with core firefighting training, where you’ll master fire suppression techniques, rescue operations, and emergency response strategies. From there, you’ll choose your path — continue honing your firefighting expertise or shift your focus to the emergency medical stream, preparing for a career in life-saving pre-hospital care.
The heart of your training takes place at Lakeland’s Emergency Training Centre (ETC), the most advanced, state-of-the-art training facility in Canada. In class, you’ll engage in live, immersive scenarios that mirror real-world emergencies. Whether battling flames, performing rescues, or delivering critical patient care, you’ll graduate with the hands-on experience and confidence to excel in high-pressure situations.
