Mohawk College’s Business Administration – Human Resources program equips students with the essential knowledge and skills to pursue a successful career in human resources across a variety of industries. The program is designed to meet the professional standards set by the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) and includes the necessary courses required to obtain the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.
Students will explore core HR functions, including recruitment, training and development, performance management, health and safety, and employment legislation. The program also covers organizational behavior, career development, and human resources planning, providing a comprehensive foundation in managing human capital.
With a strong focus on practical, hands-on learning, students develop the skills to effectively manage HR processes, enhance workplace culture, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Additionally, graduates are well-prepared for a wide range of HR roles, from generalist positions to specialized functions like labor relations and compensation administration.
By the end of the program, students will have the competencies required to succeed in dynamic HR environments and be equipped to take the next step toward achieving the CHRP designation.
