Bachelor of Animation (International Students) only accepts applications from International Students.

The Bachelor of Animation is a three-year applied degree program designed to equip graduates with both the creative and technical expertise required to excel in the competitive animation industry. This includes work in feature films, streaming platforms, television series, commercials, and video games.

Delivered through an integrated curriculum and hands-on learning environment, the program emphasizes contemporary industry practices and emerging technologies. Students begin with foundational training across multiple animation disciplines, including 3D character animation, storyboarding, life drawing, and visual development. As the program advances, learners build on these fundamentals through projects that explore character performance animation, advanced rigging, modeling, creature animation, and digital sculpting.

In the final year, students synthesize their learning in capstone courses spread across the last two semesters, culminating in the production of a short animated film. This comprehensive project fosters both independent and collaborative work, preparing students for real-world industry challenges. The program also features a paid co-op work term, offering practical experience and professional networking opportunities.

Admission Requirements

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, OR 19 years of age or older.
  • For students with transcripts from outside of Canada, a comprehensive course-by-course credential evaluation is required.
