In Aeolus Flight Academy’s Private Pilot Licence program, students will gain extensive experience in all aspects of aircraft handling, emergency procedures, radio procedures, navigation, and basic instrument handling.  To obtain this licence, you must possess a valid Category III medical obtained from a Transport Canada authorized Medical Examiner.  The minimum age to acquire this licence is seventeen years of age.

In the included forty hours of Ground school students learn everything needed to know to pass the written exam.  Topics include Navigation, Meteorology, Air Law, and General Knowledge. Also included are seventeen hours of dual flying, twelve hours of solo flying, and instrument & navigation training.

The scheduling and length of training is based on availability and subject to change.

I trained with Jake for my PPL. He was professional, knowledgable, friendly, and everything I would want from an instructor. He always went the extra mile to make sure I was ready for the next step in my training, whether it meant organizing paperwork to send to TC for me, or sending me resources to ensure I'd pass any required licensing exams. I'll never forget when he sent me for my first solo, thanks Jake!

If you’re in the market for flight training, this is a great place to go, and as far as I know they’re the only place in London using Cessnas. The chief is very hands on and is very involved in the progress of his students. His personality is VERY friendly and understanding, and he is very passionate about flight training. From experience this is something that student benefits from, rather than being intimidated into making errors. He’s the type of instructor you can go to after hitting a wall with your flight training progress, and get you past your obstacles. The location is a very nice atmosphere, quiet in spite of being at the airport, perfect for getting the work done. Whether you are just getting started or continuing training I think it’s safe to say that if you go check this place out, you really might end up staying and making some new friends!
