BSc in Psychology

My Master of Education experience at the University of Ottawa gave me a much stronger understanding of how teaching and learning can be adapted to meet different student needs. I especially enjoyed learning about inclusive education, assessment strategies, and educational technology. One course explored how technology can be integrated into learning environments, while other assignments challenged me to evaluate teaching practices and think critically about what actually supports student success. The research component also helped me become more confident reading academic studies and applying evidence to educational decisions. Overall, the program gave me practical ideas I could take directly into my professional practice while also encouraging me to look at education from a broader perspective.

The MEd gave me the opportunity to explore education in a much more critical and research-focused way. I learned how qualitative research can be used to investigate educational experiences and became more comfortable questioning assumptions behind established teaching practices. Courses dealing with current issues, inclusion, technology, and educational theory introduced me to perspectives I hadn't considered during my undergraduate studies. I also appreciated being able to tailor my courses to my interests while studying online, which made the program manageable alongside my professional responsibilities.
