The Pharmacy Technician program at the College of the New Caledonia (CNC) prepares students to play a vital role in health care by ensuring the safe and accurate preparation and distribution of medications. Delivered in partnership with Selkirk College, this fully accredited 15-month program meets the national standards set by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP) and aligns with the competencies required by the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA). The program combines online theory courses, hands-on lab training at CNC’s Prince George campus, and real-world practicums in both hospital and community pharmacy settings.

Ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about patient care, the program fosters essential skills in communication, critical thinking, and pharmacy operations. Students gain experience with current pharmacy technologies and develop a deep understanding of legal, ethical, and professional responsibilities. Graduates are eligible to begin the certification process with the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) and pursue registration with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia, opening doors to rewarding careers in diverse pharmacy environments.
