For individuals ready to become a commercial airline pilot, the Integrated Airline Transport Pilot Licence (IATPL) Program at Michinson Flight Centre is the right fit. Endorsed by Transport Canada, this intensive twenty-month program is designed to equip aspiring pilots with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate modern commercial airline aircraft.
The curriculum is immersive, spanning ground school sessions four to five days a week alongside flight sessions scheduled for five to six days weekly. Over 900 hours of instruction are provided, covering ground school, flight, and simulator training. Interactive labs, workshops, and multi-crew simulator exercises further reinforce skills development.
Graduates of the IATPL program are highly sought after by airline employers for their proficiency in handling modern flight deck responsibilities and familiarity with industry-standard procedures such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Multi-Crew Resource Management (CRM). Interview opportunities with regional airlines await program graduates upon completion.
Successful completion of the program leads to the acquisition of a Commercial Pilot Licence with Multi-Engine and Group 1 Instrument Rating, alongside the esteemed IATPL Diploma. Additionally, students undergo Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot Licence written exams, paving the way for ATPL licence attainment upon accumulating the requisite 1500 flight hours within five years post-graduation.
