Dental Hygiene students participate in internal and external internships in various settings such as the Collège Boréal student dental hygiene clinic, Francophone community health centers, long-term care facilities and the public health service. Upon Graduation, students can provide high quality primary health care with confidence and professionalism within the health team.
Students acquire skills in assessing the client’s oral health status and in interpreting clinical results. The objective is to develop, in collaboration with the client, a plan of care corresponding to the needs of each person. Subsequently, the student provides educational, preventive, and therapeutic interventions.
