Cambrian College strives to produce passionate and service-obsessed hospitality professionals. They bring theory into practice through a hands-on approach to learning. This diploma program provides future hospitality leaders the foundational skills to thrive in roles throughout all sectors of hospitality and tourism – locally to globally.
The program offers comprehensive insights into the structure and functioning of Hospitality organizations, big and small. A common first year closely aligns with other business diploma programs, allowing students flexibility in exploring career avenues without losing momentum in their post-secondary studies.
In addition to comprehensive technical training in all aspects of Hospitality, students are provided the opportunity to enhance their resume with industry certifications that support best practices in food service, tourism, and hospitality. Students are provided hands-on learning opportunities while completing an industry placement. These real world learning experiences provide a forum for networking and a transition to the workplace. Industry-recognized experts provide valuable guidance and insights in their respective field.
Graduates will enter the workplace with a unique mix of technical and soft skills. Comprehensive knowledge of hospitality and tourism operations is underpinned by effective leadership and management skills.
This program can lead to career opportunities in many sectors of the hospitality and tourism industry. You may work for a large hotel chain, conferences and entertainment venues, a food service operation such as a bar, pub, or restaurant. Opportunities are also available in non-traditional roles such as industry support organizations, tourism boards, distributors, and manufacturers.
