The part-time User Experience (UX) course was developed for professionals with an interest in digital design, web development, and improving the user experience of their product or digital properties. Taught by professionals currently working in the industry, the course uses a project-based learning model, ensuring students gain hands-on experience creating engaging, user-friendly websites, with the user firmly in mind.

What You’ll Learn

  • User Research: Learn how to conduct interviews and create personas, to understand the needs of your users, and keep them at the center of your design process.
  • Sketching & Wireframing: Sketch simple screens, develop them into wireframes, and then test basic functionality to keep the goals of your users at the heart of your designs.
  • Information Architecture: Learn how to structure information in a way that is clear to your users and helps them achieve their goals.
  • Prototyping: Test the functionality of your designs with clickable prototypes in InVision that mimic a real product. Collect actionable feedback from your users in order to further develop your designs.

I had an interesting experience with BrainStation while completing the Data Analytics course. The cohort was lively and always engaged with the instructors. The instructors themselves were very easy to approach and happy to provide feedback and were both clearly very excited about their students' learning experience.

As a full-time professional aiming to further my career I have had a lot of experience with online learning and so I feel confident in saying the experience at BrainStation is unique. The program is geared towards getting the best out of the online sessions and making learning and the instructors as accessible as possible with instructors hours outside of the regular class session and a team of instructors who are always looking to help.

In addition, learning at BrainStation is also an opportunity to network with like-minded professionals and the occasional student looking to make a change in their careers. All in all it was definitely a positive experience which I would gladly recommend to friends and family. #BrainStation

I recently completed 10 week, online live User Experience Design course through Brainstation. Each week of the course included a lecture style introduction to a UX design topic, hands on activities, discussion, and take away work. All of the material related directly to our final project, designing an app or website to solve a problem of our choosing. The pace of the course allowed us to cover a lot of material in just a few hours a week. The instructors were incredibly helpful at explaining topics, providing real work examples, and giving feedback on our projects. It was clear that their goal was to help us to create a solid portfolio piece that we were proud of and reflected everything we learned in class. I would recommend this course for anyone who does not have any UX experience and is looking to explore the field.

FAQ
