Students in Fanshawe College’s Home Inspection Certification program will learn how to assist homebuyers in making informed decisions about their prospective new home. Standards of Practice define a minimum and uniform standard for private, fee-paid home inspectors. Home inspections performed to these standards are intended to provide the client with information regarding the condition of the systems and components of the home as inspected.
In the Home Inspection Certification program, students will learn the systems and components of a house including roofing, structure, electrical, heating, air conditioning/heat pumps, plumbing, exterior, insulation, and the interior. This program is perfect for individuals working in the field or those interested in exploring a new venture, these courses prepare students for Certification by the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors (OAHI).
