Massage Therapy

Humber’s Massage Therapy advanced diploma program provides you with the in-depth academic preparation and hands-on practical experience required to become a valued member of a health-care team.

Working in their state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll develop the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct a patient assessment, develop treatment plans, deliver safe and effective treatment, and evaluate outcomes. You’ll also learn how to run a successful business, preparing you to become an entrepreneur or own a private practice.

Their curriculum is designed to emphasize depth and breadth in your clinical experience. You will have the opportunity to practise your skills with seven unpaid work placements – four of which take place on campus in our Massage Therapy Teaching & Learning Clinic and three of which take place off campus in the community. Thanks to their community partnerships, you will be introduced to a variety of health-care settings and given the opportunity to work with a diverse group of patients. To graduate, students need to achieve a minimum of 330 workplace hours. These hours are achieved through taking part in both their On-Campus Internship and Clinical Internship courses. These hours have been advised by the Canadian Massage Therapy Council for Accreditation (CMTCA).
